Personal Data Deletion

1. Overview

At Veralia, we are committed to your right to control your personal data. This page describes the process for requesting the deletion of data associated with your account, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Spanish legislation.

2. Data That Is Deleted

When you request data deletion, the following items will be removed from our active systems:

  • Profile data: name, email address, profile photo and any professional information provided
  • WhatsApp phone number: if you provided your number for verification or notifications
  • Access credentials: all authentication credentials associated with your account
  • Preferences and settings: language, preferred notification channel and other account settings
  • Session data: authentication tokens, cookies and session data

3. How to Request Deletion

You can request the deletion of your data through any of the following methods:

From your profile: The option to delete your account and all your data is always available in your profile settings within Veralia

If you delete your account from your profile, the process starts immediately. If you prefer to do it by email, we will ask you to send the request from the email address associated with your Veralia account to verify your identity.

4. Deletion Process

Once your request is received, the process will follow these steps:

  1. Identity verification — We will confirm that the request comes from the legitimate account holder
  2. Email confirmation — You will receive a confirmation email informing you that the process has begun
  3. Deletion execution — Your personal data will be removed from all active systems
  4. Final confirmation — You will receive an email confirming that your data has been deleted

5. Timelines

Processing timelines are as follows:

  • Verification and initial confirmation: up to 3 business days
  • Effective deletion from active systems: up to 30 calendar days from confirmation
  • Deletion from backups: up to 90 calendar days from confirmation

6. Data That May Be Retained

In accordance with applicable legal obligations, certain data may be retained for the legally required period:

  • Transaction records: data necessary for compliance with tax and accounting obligations (up to 6 years under Spanish law)
  • Anonymized content: anonymized questions and answers may be retained to maintain the coherence of community discussions. This data does not contain personally identifiable information
  • Audit logs: minimal security records may be temporarily retained for fraud prevention

7. Data in Third-Party Services

When deleting your data from Veralia, deletion is also initiated in integrated third-party services:

  • Supabase: authentication and profile data stored in our database infrastructure
  • Meta (WhatsApp Business API): if you used WhatsApp for verification, your phone number will be unlinked. Note: messages you sent to our WhatsApp Business number are governed by WhatsApp's Privacy Policy
